The FIRST thing to do when you're being bullied is to tell someone. Since you want to tell your mum, she should be your first stop. How do you do it?
- Make sure you have her attention: tell her you have something important to tell her and ask her to listen.
- Timing is important, get her when she's not distracted, sit her down and tell her what's happening.
- Tell her you want to be part of the solution, so you can talk through the options together.
If you think it will be hard, write some notes down first, so you don't forget anything. There are lots of different ways to sort out bullying and getting help from home and school is the best start. Remember, there's nothing to be ashamed of and keeping silent lets the bully get away with it. Talk with your mum, and you can make a start to stop the bullying.
